I JUST WANTED A BETTER SOCK.
I trained in the same cheap socks as everyone else. They worked...until they didn't. They'd stink, get crusty, get way too hot, and eventually end up in the trash.
I knew wool had been used for generations because of how well it handles temperature and moisture. It also has one huge advantage for something you're going to sweat in: it naturally resists odor.
So I went looking for a wool sock actually made for training.
What I found was either an expensive running sock, a thick hiking sock, or a cheap "training" sock that pilled almost immediately, became uncomfortable, and slid around inside my shoe.
So I decided to make the one I couldn't find.
From there, I obsessed over the details: where it needed cushioning and where it didn't, how much support the arch needed, how low it could sit without slipping, how the toe should feel, how breathable it needed to be, and how it held up when training hard.
The result is FLOCK.
A lightweight merino wool sock built specifically for the gym: lifting, CrossFit, HYROX, conditioning, or whatever else you do when you train.
Is it finished forever? Probably not. We'll keep tweaking it as we learn.
But right now, it's the best training sock I've ever owned.
And that's why FLOCK exists.
